The 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' Trailer Shows the Return of Professor X and More

Yesterday the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer was released and fans were treated to a plethora of surprises. The first big surprise was the return of Sir Patrick Stewart as Professor X. This is the first mutant to become a part of the MCU. Fans have been speculating that Professor X is a part of the Illuminati. The Illuminati is a secret group of superheroes within the MCU. The group has members from the Avengers and other superhero groups including the X-Men. This group hasn't been seen in the MCU before and will be interesting to see their role in the film.

Professor X in the MCU creates exciting possibilities. This means other mutants in the X-Men can appear in the MCU. It means anything that was apart of the Fox/Marvel Universe can now finally appear in the MCU. This includes: the X-Men, The Fantastic Four, and Deadpool. Fans have been waiting for them to arrive in the MCU and interact with their favorite heroes and it looks like we are finally seeing that happening.

Besides the return of Sir Patrick Stewart as Professor X, we saw more exciting things happen in this trailer. We see Wanda make a return to Westview after the events of WandaVision. The trailer also sets up Wanda to be the main villain of the film. We see a shot where Wanda looks to be fighting Captain Marvel. The film seems to be taking a darker side with Wanda and other characters. This seems to be heavily influenced by director Sam Raimi.

With the historic success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, the MCU looks to build on the multiverse with this film. Marvel fans should be excited where the MCU is heading and it all starts with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
