With last week's tease of Din Djarin showing up to help Boba with his upcoming war against the Pykes, fans were excited for this week's episode and they were not disappointed. MANDO is back and better than ever. This week's episode gave us a preview of The Mandalorian Season 3 with Mando as the sole focus of the episode. This exciting return and the content make this episode the best one of the series so far.
The episode starts and we see Mando immediately. He is a butcher shop and is bounty hunting after his departure with Grogu. He finds his target and pulls out the Darksaber but his training his lacking. He wins the fight and kills his target but suffers a wound in the process. Din turns over his bounty and limps away.
Din is then reunited with two Mandalorians from Navarro: The Armorer and Paz Vizsla. The Armorer gives the viewers a history of the Mandalorian. We learn details of the Mandalorian as people and the Darksaber. We see a scene of Din and The Armorer training with the Darksaber. Din struggles with the Darksaber and states it gets heavier each minute he's using it. The Armorer says that Din needs to learn to fight the opponent not the Darksaber. During the training it is revealed the Darksaber was made by Paz Vizsula's clan back on the Mandalore. Hearing this information, Paz challenges Din to a duel for the Darksaber. Mando wins his duel against Paz and goes to kill him, but The Armorer stops him.
After the battle, The Armorer asking both mandalorians if they have every took their helmet off. Din can't lie and says he has taken his helmet off. The Armorer states that this is forbidden and that Din is no longer a mandalorian. Din tries to repent his sins but The Armorer sends him away. Feeling disappointed, Din boards a flight to Tatooine. He immediately reunites with Peli Motto. He asks her to replace his Razor Crest. Peli finds something than can be suitable for Mando. It is a Starfighter ship. Din at first does not want this ship and wants another Razor Crest, but Peli convinces him that this would be a good ship for him.
They work on the ship together with the help of the furry Jawas. The Jawas help Mando find the parts he needs to make this ship run better than it has ever run before. Their work is done and Mando takes the ship for a joyride. The ship runs smooth and faster than it has ever run before. He eventually takes the ship into the galaxy and gets pulled over by space cops. One of the cops recognizes his voice but Mando denies it's him and the cops let him off with a warning.
Din returns back to Peli and Peli says there is a woman there to see him. Fennec Shand makes her presence known and asks Mando to help Boba in his war against the Pykes. Din states he will help them but needs to see an old friend first. With this tease, we can assume Grogu will be in the next chapter of The Book of Boba Fett.
This chapter of The Book of Boba Fett is the episode fans have been waiting for. This episode felt like how a Star Wars should be. Hopefully the next two episodes are even better.
