'Stranger Things' Season 4 Trailer Promises The Strangest Season Yet

It has been 1013 days since Stranger Things season 3 was released on Netflix. Season 4 was delayed for several reasons including a worldwide pandemic but today Netflix finally released the trailer to season 4. The trailer promises one thing for season 4. It will be the strangest season yet.

At the end of season 3, Joyce, Will, Jonathan, and Eleven moved away from Hawkins after the "death" of Hopper. But as we all know Hopper is alive in a camp in Russia. Season 4 is all about moving on for the characters. We see Max visiting Billy's grave reading a letter she wrote for him. We see Mike having a difficult time being away from Eleven. Every character this season is struggling with something. Things seem to be getting worse with a mysterious new villain from the Upside Down.

This new villain from the Upside Down is something we haven't seen before in Stranger Things. It appears this villain has human like qualities including the ability to talk. The Upside Down seems to be leveling up their villains as each season goes on. First season was The Demogorgon that first appeared killing beloved character Barb. The second season was all about The Mind Flayer tormenting Will. The third season's villain was The Spider Monster who took over Billy and other Hawkins residents. This villain promises to be different from the rest and even more dangerous.

This trailer gives us a look at Hopper in the camp in Russia. Last season, he was captured by the Russians during the final episode of season 3 where he "sacrificed" himself. We do not know the Russians intentions with Hopper but they don't seem to be good. Everyone in Hawkins thinks he is dead but his eventual return will be anticipated, especially a reunion with Eleven and Joyce.

Season 4 seems to be the biggest and strangest one yet. The first part will be released on May 27th. The second part will be released on July 1st.
