The James Bond role has been a hot commodity for actors since the 1960s. With legends like Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig taking up the role, actors know their work will be remembered forever. Daniel Craig has retired his role as Bond after his latest Bond film No Time To Die. But the James Bond role will live forever, so this begs the question: Who will be the next James Bond? Here are my top 5 candidates to be the next James Bond.
5. Richard Madden

Richard Madden is known for his roles in Game of Thrones and Eternals. But his work in Bodyguard proves why he deserves to be a candidate for this role. Not only does Madden have the looks and charm for the role, he has the physical capabilities for the role. Madden is only 35 years old and still has a lot to accomplish in his acting career and the role of James Bond could be one of those things.
4. Regé-Jean Page

Regé-Jean Page is a rising star in Hollywood. His breakout role as Simon Basset in Bridgerton led him to superstardom over night. He has big roles in upcoming films The Gray Man and Dungeons & Dragons. Page looks like James Bond and can rock a suit. His charm in Bridgerton fits the Bond profile as well. Page would be a great choice to be James Bond.
3. Tom Hardy

Tom Hardy has been a Hollywood star for over 15 years now. His roles in Mad Max: Fury Road, Inception, Warrior, The Revenant, etc. have shown him to be a great actor. Some people might not think of him as Bond because of his personality and his round around the edges demeanor. I see the potential for a great James Bond. He would bring great physicality to the role with his performances in Warrior and The Dark Knight Rises proving that. Give him a nice suit, a good haircut, and clean shaved face like in the photo above and you will see James Bond.
2. Idris Elba

Idris Elba is a badass and that is why he's a great choice to be James Bond. Elba isn't a stranger to action roles with films like The Suicide Squad, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, and The Dark Tower. These roles proved Elba has what it takes to be James Bond. Combine that with charm and a good accent, and you have yourself James Bond. I wouldn't be surprised if he was the choice to be James Bond.

Henry Cavill is my number one choice to be James Bond. He has all the traits needed to be a good James Bond. He is quick witted, smooth, charming, good looking, and has the physical capabilities. Cavill has established himself as a great actor. I recently saw The Man From U.N.C.L.E and immediately when the film was over, I said this is the next James Bond. That film is a spy thriller and was the perfect tryout to be James Bond. In that film, he displayed the physical tools needed for the role. He also displaced his quick wit, smoothness, and charming personality. In my opinion, Henry Cavill should be the next James Bond.
