Cobra Kai Season 4 is set to be released in December 2021. A new promo was released today on Netflix's YouTube channel confirmed the release date. The new promo highlights the All Valley Karate Tournament. The tournament will be the main focus of season 4. At the end of season 3, Johnny and Daniel agreed to team up to fight the evil Cobra Kai headed by the evil John Kreese. The promo mainly shows the characters in their gi's, but we do see some season 4 footage.
The first footage we see is Tory and Robbie sparring. Tory is on top pf Robbie and seems to be getting the upper hand on him. This sparring looks like it's training for the All Valley Tournament. In season 3, Robbie aligned himself with Cobra Kai. Robbie felt misunderstood by both Johnny and Daniel. Now he sees Kreese as his true mentor. The next shot is Miguel and Daniel training together. Fans have been long anticipating the team up of Miyagi-Do and EagleFang Karate. This footage gives fans hope that we will see plenty of scenes of both dojos training together. Next, we see Johnny and Daniel giving each other a good ol' fist pound. As a long time Karate Kid and Cobra Kai fan, I can say this was my favorite part of the prome. Fans have been waiting for 4 seasons for Daniel and Johnny to be friends. The classic scene in season 1 where they are bonding in the bar was the foundation that led to this and I couldn't be more excited.
Next. we see Johnny training in a warehouse breaking cinder blocks. This is intriguing because we don't know what this means. Is he training just for fun? Is this a tease for a fight with the returning Terry Silver? We'll have to wait and see. The next scene is the craziest scene in the whole promo. We see a girl jumping from one roof to another roof. The question is: who is this character? My educated guess is Samantha. The girl in the shot has dark hair unlike Tory and is short. This description fits the one and only Samantha LaRusso. The final shot we see is legendary ponytail of the returning Terry Silver. Silver has been coveted by fans to return to this universe and it looks like he will have a prominent role in season 4.
